I'm Prince Singh.

I build backend applications that are secure, reliable, and designed to solve real problems. My work primarily revolves around Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, databases, and cloud deployment. More than collecting technologies, I enjoy understanding why they exist and what problems they are meant to solve.

Backend development wasn't something I planned from the start. Through college, I explored a lot—different languages, some MERN, a bit of Python, mini projects, major projects, and even a bit of blockchain and cybersecurity—just learning, exploring, and building along the way. After college, I took some time before things really picked up, and eventually joined a Java development course.

My JAVA backend journey didn't begin with Spring Boot. It started with small practice projects using JDBC CRUD applications, Hibernate, Servlets, and REST APIs. Those projects helped me build a strong foundation, and by the time I started learning Spring and Spring Boot, everything began to connect.

My first complete JAVA backend project, the Journal Management API, became much more than another CRUD application. I built it, rebuilt it, and kept improving it. Along the way, I started using AI as a development partner—not to replace understanding, but to learn faster, explore different approaches, and improve the project through constant iteration.

That project took me well beyond the basics. I learned how authentication fits into a real application, how to integrate external APIs and AI services, where Redis caching is useful, when asynchronous processing with Kafka makes sense, and how deployment changes the way you think about software.

Just as importantly, I picked up plenty of smaller but valuable lessons along the way—writing cleaner code, debugging framework behavior, designing better APIs, validating requests, handling exceptions, and making applications easier to maintain.

Looking back, every project has taught me something different. That's what I enjoy most about software development— building something, understanding how it works, finding ways to improve it, and carrying those lessons forward into the next project.
